I Missed Your Faces!

7/28/2026:

Hi my friends. Hi.

Are you out there? How are you doing?

I’ve been MIA. I would have given y’all a heads-up that I was gonna go MIA, except I didn’t know it was going to happen.

I’m still here, living and learning and growing and feeling gratitude for every breath, and I have some insights to share with the whole world. But right now, I want to talk about life.

The energy this year has been…alive. Captivating. It has kept me productive in surprising and new ways. I have always been the person who thought she knew what she was supposed to be doing, who thought she had the answers, who thought she knew the SMART action to take no matter what. And I did, right up until I didn’t.

This year has served up an avalanche of moments that swept me up and put me in places I did not expect to be, and while I thought I knew what was happening, I quickly realized that there were lessons the universe wanted to share with me that I did not expect. I realized that even though I knew how to conduct myself and could navigate accordingly—that was not what I was supposed to do. Instead, I sat quietly and observed closely, and let the lessons land.

The work I’ve been doing over this last year or so has been joyful to me, which is why I do it. The people I’ve been able to support, the writing, the astrology, all of the learning I’ve been able to engage in has been amazing! I have a whole list of goals to reach, articles to write, lessons to teach and classes to offer, ideas on top of ideas yet over the last few months, so many other lessons and experiences needed time to find their way to me and begin to integrate. And so the work has paused, but I have not stopped working.

While the spiritual journey has continued, the mundane life has not stopped moving. I planned and planted a garden for the first time in years—and I did not realize how much I missed it. I missed it so much I fear I got far too many plants…which I’m not sure is a thing. Is it possible to have too many plants? Imma say no. Also, I had to find a happy place for every single one and that reminded me just how much work all of this is, but the end result is that I am once again a happy plant-lady.

I’m also still a bird lady, and I’ve added to our little pandemonium. Did you know that a whole buncha parakeets all together is called a pandemonium of parakeets? Rightly so, cause these fools are up with the sun singing at full volume, every single day!!! My goal with my first few parakeets was to train them to be super-friendly so they would come to me with ease and I could let them fly free. The issue is: they like each other more than they like me, so they barely tolerate my hand in the cage while they get their food and water and give me side eye until I let them be! And so with this last addition, I was determined to train him. And it’s working! My little Maui is a smart and beautiful little bird, and while he tried to be a traitor like the other ones when he first came home, he knows that I’m his peeps, my hand is an extra perch for him, and he gon’ love me! (Did I just channel Jennifer Hudson singing And I’m Telling You while writing about a parakeet? I might have a problem, but we just gonna pretend I’m okay over here. You good with that? Cause yeah…I’m good with that.) 😀

So I’ve been working, and learning, and planting, and just living…quietly…but the energy this week has redirected me back to the beginning, checking my work, honing my skills, and letting structure lead the way. I’m back.

I missed your faces and I hope you missed mine! I’ll be seeing you on these internet streets again this week. I have new endeavors to share with you and there is an astrology transit coming up with this next full moon that I can’t wait to talk about!

See you soon!

All the love,

MamaBerry
